Halloween at Disneyland

Written by Linda Smith on September 30, 2011

It’s Halloween time at Disneyland and Sheila Farley and I decided to visit last weekend.  The Haunted House has been changed to images from the Nightmare Before Christmas, and Space Mountain  Ghost Galaxy is very goulish with ghosts and goblins.  There are fall decorations all over the park…it’s really a fun time to visit.

They also are doing Mickey’s Halloween Party until October 31st. On certain nights they close the parks for visitors that have bought tickets to the party. Dress up your

Western Mediterranean Cruise

Written by Linda Smith on September 29, 2011

I just returned from a 7-day western Mediterranean cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas.  The ship sails out of Barcelona to Provence, Nice, Florence, Rome and Naples.

Barcelona is a great city! It’s easy to get around with interesting museums, the famous Gaudi cathedral Sagrada Familia and delicious tapas and seafood.  We ate at a restaurant called El Lobito where they have a different menu of fresh fish each day – delicious! Four Seasons Scottsdale at Troon North

Written by Laney Williams on September 13, 2011

I recently had the opportunity to enjoy a weekend stay at the Four Seasons Scottsdale at Troon North.  You may be wondering if I am completely insane, organizing a weekend in Arizona during August, not exactly their coolest month.  I must admit, I was a little worried myself before we arrived.  However, the weather didn’t end up being an issue at all.

My husband tried out both golf courses, and made sure to start extra early in the morning to avoid
