The year of 2011 may mark the end of the “staycation” as travelers once again embrace the opportunity to explore the world. Andavo Travel is a member of leading luxury travel network, Virtuoso®, which released findings from its 2011 Virtuoso Luxe Report. Virtuoso says its network’s clientele increased their travel purchases by 36% from 2009 to 2010, with luxury international leisure trips being the dominant choice.  More than 90 percent of Virtuoso’s elite travel agency membership, including Andavo Travel, lent their insight to the annual survey, which tracks trends in travel destinations, comparisons to travel in 2010, and above all, forecasts the travel decisions and motivating factors of some of the most upscale travelers in the United States and Canada.

Two of the country's top travel management firms, Andavo Travel and Christopherson Business Travel, have merged to provide superior service to clients and prospects. The two firms form the largest national BCD Travel affiliate, the leading provider of global travel logistics.

Business Travel News has ranked Christopherson Andavo Travel #14 among all participating travel management companies. The data used to rank the agencies was independently verified by ARC (Airlines Reporting Corporation), which is the airline ticketing clearinghouse for all travel agencies and airlines.

Andavo Travel and Christopherson Business Travel today announced a merger agreement between the two travel management firms. The combined operations form one of the largest travel management firms in the United States and the largest national BCD Travel affiliate.

Andavo Travel has been chosen as one of the top 100 Women Business Enterprises (WBE) Impacting Supplier Diversity by Women's Enterprise USA magazine. The list applauds women-owned companies that positively influence diversity practices across corporate America.

Andavo Travel, the 2nd largest woman owned business in Colorado and the 14th largest woman owned business in San Francisco, was awarded Exceptional Supplier of the Year, by the Women's Business Enterprise Council, West at the 3rd Annual Excellence Awards Gala.
